Cagrilintide

Cagrilintide Cagrilintide is an investigational, long-acting analog of amylin—a peptide hormone naturally released alongside insulin by pancreatic beta cells. Amylin participates in appetite signaling, satiety, gastric emptying, and the regulation of post-meal glucagon secretion. Cagrilintide has been engineered for prolonged activity and is being studied for its effects on food intake, body-weight regulation, glucose metabolism, and energy balance. Clinical research has evaluated cagrilintide both independently and in combination with the GLP-1 receptor agonist semaglutide.
